Thursday, July 9 — Family & Kids

Tuneful Tots with Florence
10:30 AM at HCL, 794 North Ave. Rhythms, melodies, and instruments for ages 2–4 — a joyful, wiggly way to start the day.

Kiddie Music Concert: Little Harmoninas
11:00 AM at the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza. Miss Cristina leads an interactive sing-and-dance class for newborns through age 5.

Splashdown Encore!
3:00 PM on the patio at HCL, 794 North Ave. Water tables and toys for kids of all ages — dress to get wet and let them burn off some summer energy.

VR Game Night, Giant Jenga Night & Game & Watch
3:00 PM at the Library, 1 Library Plaza. Three drop-in options for tweens and teens in grades 6–12 — Oculus Quest 3, a towering Jenga set, or console gaming with friends.

Thursday, July 9 — Mexican Dance Workshops (Registration Required)

The Calpulli Mexican Dance Company is in New Rochelle all day teaching traditional movement and culture — grab a spot for your age group:

Ages 5–7 at 1:30 PM, Ages 8–13 at 3:00 PM, and Teens & Adults (14+) at 5:00 PM, all at 1 Library Plaza. A rare, hands-on chance to learn from a professional company right here in town.

Thursday, July 9 — Arts & Civic

Exhibit Reception: NRAA 2026 Jules Bauer Award Show
6:00 PM at the Library, 1 Library Plaza. Celebrate local talent at the New Rochelle Art Association's award show reception — a lovely, low-key evening out.

New York Blood Center Blood Drive
10:00 AM–4:00 PM at 515 North Avenue. An hour of your time can save a life — an easy way to give back to your New Rochelle neighbors.

One-on-One Assistance

Toddler Time
11:00 AM at the Library, 1 Library Plaza. Stories, songs, and movement build literacy and social skills for little ones 18 months to 3 years.

Knitting Club
11:00 AM at the Library, 1 Library Plaza. Drop in with professional knitter Stephanie Lieberman Paley — bring a project or just come learn.
