Brown Bag Book Club: LAS MADRES by Esmeralda Santiago
Tuesday, September 8 at 12:00 PM at the New Rochelle Public Library. Free. A librarian-led discussion where newcomers are always welcome, and you can even borrow the book from the first-floor hold shelf.

Air of Truth: Escape the T.R.A.P.
Tuesday, September 8 at the New Rochelle Public Library. Free. A self-guided, escape-room-style experience that challenges you to crack the code on New Rochelle's air quality, on your own schedule.

Paws & Relax with a Therapy Dog
Tuesday, September 8 at 3:45 PM at the New Rochelle Public Library. Free. Grades 6–12 can drop into the Teen Room and unwind with a registered therapy dog, the best kind of stress relief.

Teens will also find Game & Watch, VR Game Night and Jigsaw Puzzle Night starting at 3:00 PM, all free and no registration required.

Wednesday: Make Something

Open Sewing
Wednesday, September 9 at 12:30 PM at the New Rochelle Public Library. Free. Bring a project and use the library's state-of-the-art Necchi machines, a rare treat for sewists in New Rochelle.

Chair Yoga
Wednesday, September 9 at 1:00 PM at the New Rochelle Public Library. Free. A gentle, invigorating session to chase away midweek fatigue, no floor mat or experience needed.

Healthcare Navigator Assistance
Wednesday, September 9 at 11:00 AM at the New Rochelle Public Library. Free. Westchester County navigators offer free, one-on-one help enrolling in health coverage, a genuinely useful stop.

Arts & Crafts Day: Scratch Off Art
Wednesday, September 9 at 3:00 PM at the New Rochelle Public Library. Free. Tweens and teens can make their own scratch-off art to keep or share, while supplies last.

Note: the Main Library and Huguenot Children's Library open at 12:00 PM Wednesday for staff training, so plan your morning trip accordingly.

Thursday: Community Time

New York Blood Center: Blood Drive
Thursday, September 10, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM at the 515 North Avenue Rotunda in New Rochelle. Free. An easy, meaningful way to give back close to home, and it only takes an hour.

Thursday, September 10 at 1:00 PM at the New Rochelle Public Library. Free. Join a growing community of players every Thursday afternoon through the fall, beginners welcome.
