Posto 22 on Division Street runs 50% off all drinks plus flatbread pizzas at the bar, every single day, 4–7pm. Seven days a week at half price is the most generous deal in New Rochelle, full stop, and the flatbreads mean you don't have to pretend you're not eating dinner. Go early — the bar fills.
New Roc Social on Memorial Highway does 30% off all beer, wine, well drinks and signature cocktails, daily 5–8pm. Three hours and every night of the week makes this the easy default when you're meeting someone after a movie or a late meeting and don't want to think about it.
Alvin & Friends, also on Memorial Highway, runs Wednesday through Friday, 5–8pm, with discounted beer and wine and a $7 signature rum punch. The rum punch is the reason to go. This is a sit-at-the-bar-and-talk-to-people kind of room rather than a rowdy one.
Town House Kitchen + Drinks at 559 Main Street has a tidy, consistent offer — $12 cocktails, $7 drafts, $10 house wine and bar bites, 5–7pm, every day including Sunday. The tight 5–7 window rewards people who actually leave work on time.
Aura Wine Bar at 501 Main does a daily 5–7pm happy hour (closed Mondays) built around wine and small plates. Specials rotate, so ring first — but if your evening calls for a glass of something and a conversation you can hear, this is the one.
Ava Ava Restaurant Bar & Lounge at 15 Division Street runs happy hour weekdays 3–7pm — a long four-hour stretch, which is useful if you're the person who arrives first. Scratch Bar & Grill, a few doors down at 26 Division, goes Tuesday through Saturday, 4–7pm, and is the better bet if your plans lean toward Saturday night rather than Monday.
Krave: A New York Eatery at 8 S Division keeps it simple Wednesday through Friday, 5–7pm: $8 rum punch and $8 Tropical Island. Two drinks, one price, no menu to read.
The North Avenue corridor is where the weeknight deals get genuinely cheap, and Beechmont has the two best bar-side bargains in the north end.
Beechmont Tavern at 750 North Ave runs weekdays 3–7pm with $1.50 off drafts, $5 off house drinks and $2 off apps — and free wings on Friday at 5:30. Four hours, a proper neighbourhood tavern feel, and the Friday wings disappear fast, so don't stroll in at six expecting any.
Gemelli Pizzeria, right next door at 752 North Ave, does half off drinks and pizza at the bar, Monday through Thursday 4–7pm. Half-price pizza *and* half-price drinks is dinner for the cost of a round. No weekend deal, so make it a Tuesday.
Westchester Taco Grill at 712 North Ave is the deal-hunter's venue. Half off margaritas and sangrias weekdays 4–7pm, plus a different all-day special nearly every day: $6 margaritas Monday, buy-two-get-one-free Taco Tuesday, $1 wings Wednesday, $6 sangria Thursday — all 11am to 10pm. Wednesday at a dollar a wing is the standout.
The Taco Project at 596 North Ave stacks it differently: half off select appetizers all day on weekdays, then 3:30–5:30pm brings $5 beer and wine, $8 margaritas and $9 flavored margaritas. The two-hour drinks window is short, so time it.
Smokehouse Tailgate Grill at 587 North Ave runs Tuesday through Thursday, 3:30–6:30pm, with buy-one-get-one-free on the Georgia Peach and the Smoke Show, plus the $7 Classic 86. A three-hour midweek window and BOGO cocktails — best with at least one other person.
NoMa Social at 1 Radisson Plaza is the one to send out-of-towners to: cocktails, beer and tapas at around $4 each, weekdays 4–8pm, with sangria and live music. Four hours, four-dollar small plates and a band — it's the closest thing New Rochelle has to a proper after-work scene, and it works just as well for a group of eight as for two.
Modern Restaurant & Lounge at 310 Huguenot Street runs weekdays 3–6pm with half off fried appetizers, $5 beer, $7 wine, $13 cocktails and sangria. Good for a big table and a long sit.
Some of the best value in town isn't a happy hour at all — it's a single night with a single very good deal.
Pizzeria La Rosa at 12 Russell Ave runs noon to 9pm specials three days a week: 75¢ wings and $2 off all beers on Tuesday, a Chicken Caesar pizza with $10 off bottles of wine on Wednesday, and Smash Burger Thursday. Tuesday is the one — those wing prices don't exist anywhere else in New Rochelle.
179 Bar and Grill at 179 E Main does Ladies Night Tuesday, 4–9pm, with $10 martinis, then half off bottles of wine on Wednesday from noon to 9:30pm. The Wednesday wine deal runs nine and a half hours, which is either generous or a challenge.
Dubrovnik at 721 Main Street, Tuesday through Friday 3–6pm: $5 drafts, $8 wine and wells, $10 cocktails and 50% off appetizers. The half-price apps alongside cheap drafts make it a legitimate dinner strategy, not just a drinks stop.
Little Mexican Cafe at 581 Main runs happy hour weekdays 3–6pm — details aren't published, so ask at the bar.
